Delivery management

Delivery and rider management, inside your POS

Delivery zones with their own charges, orders assigned to riders, and an end-of-shift settlement that matches the cash to the orders. Your own delivery side runs from the same screen as the counter and the kitchen, with no spreadsheet and no separate app.

Why it matters

What is the hard part of running your own delivery?

The cooking is the easy part. The hard part is the money and the paperwork around it: which area costs what, which rider took which order, and why the cash at the end of the night is short.

Charges that drift

Staff guess the delivery fee for a suburb or a block, so the same address is charged differently on different nights.

Orders on paper

Riders leave with a stack of dockets and a handwritten list. When one goes missing, nobody can say which rider had it.

Cash that does not match

Cash-on-delivery money comes back in pockets. Settling up becomes an argument instead of a two-minute check.

How it works

How does SureTill manage delivery zones and riders?

Delivery is an order type in SureTill, next to dine-in and takeaway. It goes through the same kitchen flow, then picks up three extra steps: the zone, the rider and the settlement.

1. Set up delivery zones

Define the areas you deliver to and the delivery charge for each one. When an order is taken for a zone, the right charge is added to the bill, every time.

2. Take the order once

Phone, counter or online storefront orders are entered with the customer's details and sent to the kitchen like any other order, with tickets routed per station or shown on the kitchen display.

3. Assign it to a rider

When the food is ready, assign the order to a rider. You can see at a glance which orders each rider is carrying and which are still waiting.

4. Settle at the end of the shift

SureTill lists each rider's delivered orders, which were paid on delivery, and what should come back. The rider hands over the cash, and the settlement is recorded against the orders.

What you get

What does delivery management include?

Everything you need to run your own riders from the POS, without a separate system to learn.

  • Delivery zones, each with its own delivery charge
  • Delivery as an order type alongside dine-in and takeaway
  • Kitchen order tickets per station, or a kitchen display
  • Orders assigned to riders, with a clear view of who has what
  • End-of-shift rider settlements against delivered orders
  • Delivery sales in the same daily reports as the rest of your trade
  • Recipe-based stock deduction for every delivered dish
  • Roles and permissions for staff, plus audit logs
Your riders and the apps

How does this fit with Uber Eats and other delivery apps?

Most restaurants run both: app orders delivered by the app's couriers, and their own deliveries for regulars and nearby areas. SureTill keeps both in one queue.

App orders

SureTill integrates with Uber Eats through the official API. Orders land in SureTill and print to the kitchen, and you accept, reject and mark them ready from the POS. For other apps, ask us which delivery apps we can connect.

Your own deliveries

Zones, rider assignment and settlements are for the deliveries your own riders make. They keep the charges consistent and the cash accountable, which is where in-house delivery usually leaks money.

What is delivery management software for restaurants?

It is the part of your system that handles your own deliveries: where you deliver, what each area costs, which rider takes which order, and how the cash comes back. In SureTill this sits inside the POS, so delivery orders go to the kitchen like any other order.

How do rider settlements work in SureTill?

Each delivery order is assigned to a rider. At the end of a shift, SureTill shows what that rider carried, which orders were paid on delivery, and what they should hand back, so the cash is settled against the orders instead of a paper list.

Can I set different delivery charges for different areas?

Yes. You set up delivery zones for the areas you serve, each with its own delivery charge, and the charge is applied when the order is taken for that zone.

Does delivery management work without internet?

Orders taken at the counter or over the phone, kitchen tickets, rider assignment and settlements run on the terminal itself, so they keep working offline. Orders from online channels such as Uber Eats or your online storefront need a connection to arrive.

Does this replace Uber Eats couriers?

No. Uber Eats orders are delivered by Uber's couriers, and SureTill integrates with Uber Eats so those orders land in the POS and print to the kitchen. Delivery zones and rider settlements are for the deliveries you run with your own riders.
