SureTill vs Foodics, an offline-first alternative in Pakistan
Foodics is a capable, well-established cloud platform with a large ecosystem, particularly across the GCC. We are not going to pretend otherwise. What follows is an honest account of where the two differ, so you can tell quickly which one suits your building and your market.
Operators who want a mature cloud platform with a broad marketplace of third-party integrations, established support operations across the GCC, and reliable connectivity in every location they run. If your internet is genuinely dependable and you value ecosystem breadth above all, that is a real advantage.
Operators in places where the internet and the power both fail regularly; restaurants that run customer khata; owners who want the system and the data inside their own building, with a self-hosted option.
SureTill and Foodics, feature by feature
Where we cannot state a competitor's behaviour with confidence, we say so rather than guess. Verify anything critical directly with the vendor.

Three places we are genuinely stronger
Cloud-native systems keep the logic on their servers, so an outage removes capability by design. We run a complete backend on a server inside your restaurant: full billing, kitchen display, recipe deduction and reporting with no connection for as long as it takes. A true offline restaurant POS.
Run everything on your own hardware if you want to, with the cloud switched off entirely. Your database stays in your building, exports in open formats, and does not depend on any vendor continuing to trade.
Credit limits, oldest-bill-first collection, prepaid wallets, printed statements and WhatsApp reminders, designed for how credit actually works here, not adapted from a loyalty module. See khata & credit
Ecosystem and scale
Foodics has been at this far longer than we have, with a large partner marketplace, an established integration catalogue, and support infrastructure across multiple countries. If your operation depends on a specific third-party integration they already have, a particular accounting suite, aggregator or payment provider, that is a legitimate reason to choose them, and we would rather tell you now than after you have signed.
We are a young product with a smaller team. What we can promise is that the person who built it answers the phone, and that it has been proven under real service rather than in a lab.
Switching? We migrate your data free.
Menu, modifiers, prices, customer records and outstanding khata balances brought across and reconciled by us, with a parallel-run week so nobody is learning a new till on a Friday night.
