Terms of service
What you are buying, what we owe you, and what happens if either side stops holding up their end. Written to be read rather than skipped.
1. The license
Your subscription grants your business a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use SureTill at the branches and on the number of terminals your plan covers, for as long as the subscription is paid and current. You are buying a licence to use the software, not the software itself.
You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or white-label SureTill, and you may not reverse-engineer it except where local law expressly permits that despite this clause. Self-hosted and on-premise deployments are licensed separately, per site, under the same restrictions.
2. Seats and activation
Each terminal that activates against your license key consumes a seat. You can release a seat yourself in your account when you retire or replace a machine, and reuse it on the new one. If a terminal is lost, stolen or dead, tell us and we will release it from our side.
Activation can be performed online with the key, or offline using a signed license file for sites without connectivity. Attempting to run more terminals than your plan covers will simply fail to activate, it will not interrupt terminals that are already running.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the hardware, the network inside your premises, and the electricity. You are responsible for who you give logins to and what permissions you grant them, the audit log will tell you who did what, but only you can decide who should be able to do it.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter: menu prices, recipes, tax rates and customer records. And you are responsible for your own regulatory position: registering your outlets, holding valid credentials, determining which rules and deadlines apply to you, and charging the correct tax remain your obligations. Nothing on our website or in our documentation is tax advice.
4. Support and availability
Support is included with every plan, by WhatsApp and email; higher plans include priority support with a named contact. Response targets by plan are set out at pricing.
A note about uptime, since it is the usual place for a vendor to be slippery. SureTill's core operation does not depend on our servers, that is the point of the offline-first architecture, and it is why we do not offer an uptime SLA for billing. Where our cloud services are used (the multi-branch dashboard, off-site backup, remote reporting), we aim for continuous availability and will tell you about planned maintenance in advance. An outage of our cloud does not stop your restaurant trading.
5. Payment and renewal
Fees are as set out at pricing or in your quotation: a one-time setup and training fee, then a recurring monthly or annual subscription. Prices exclude any taxes that apply to you.
Monthly subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled with effect from the end of any paid month. Annual subscriptions are paid in advance and renew annually; we will remind you before renewal. We may change prices at renewal with at least thirty days' notice, never mid-term.
6. Suspension and termination
If an invoice goes unpaid past its due date we will contact you before doing anything. After the grace period set out in your plan, the license may be suspended: terminals fall into read-only mode at their next check-in, so existing bills can be settled and reports read, but new orders cannot be taken. Terminals running offline continue until they next reach the server.
Suspension is reversible and does not delete anything. Full service resumes when the account is settled. Either party may terminate for material breach that is not remedied within a reasonable notice period; you may cancel at any time in accordance with your billing cycle.
On termination, you get a full export of your data. See the refund policy for what is and is not refundable.
7. Data ownership
Your data is yours. We claim no ownership over your menu, sales history, customers, khata balances or anything else you put into the system. You can export it at any time, including after you leave, in open formats. On a self-hosted deployment it never leaves your building to begin with.
We own SureTill itself, the software, its interface and its documentation. How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy.
8. Liability
SureTill is provided with reasonable skill and care, but no software is faultless. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of SureTill in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost custom, or losses arising from your hardware, your network, a power failure, or your own regulatory position.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore have jurisdiction. Before going anywhere near a court, contact us, most disputes we have seen were a misunderstanding about an invoice.
If we materially change these terms, we will notify account holders and update the effective date. Continuing to use SureTill after that means you accept the change.
This page is provided for general information and is not legal advice. These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version always lives here with its last-updated date. For a formal agreement covering your specific deployment, please talk to us.
